The Brazil's culinary, as its culture, has been influenced by many other countries

Since the colonization time, many european countries left their traces of domination, even if it was short, the countries that had influenced more in cookery were Italy, Portugal and Spain, as main settlers. A great curious point is the maintenance of african values, mostly, and indigenous as well, due to mix of the culture in the society in earlier centuries. The main contribution of the slaves from that time was the international well known "Feijoada"

In XVIII and XIX centuries, Brazil received thousands of inmigrants of many different countries, which helped to amplify the sort of different food and culture, the main countries represented by those inmigrants were Asian's, like Japan and China (Brazil has one of the biggest communities of Japan and China outside those countries in the World), and some other European's, as Germany and Holland

Actually, following strong influence imposed by the United States, and the american way of life, Brazil easily adapted to fast food style, although the biggest part of the population would preffer home cook food. The costum of buying delivered pizzas and asian food is widely spread

THE "FEIJOADA" The great dimensions of Brazil favor a great diversity in cookery. In each region, its historical past and its geography determine a typical food

Foods of festive days exist, as the saints of the Bahia, the parties of São João (Saint John), of day of Reis(Kings), etc. Despite the enormous variety, a plate which is salient is the Feijoada. Exactly that it precedes of Rio De Janeiro, is considered the more typical Brazilian plate
