NORTH REGION |

|
The region North of the country occupies half of its superficial totality almost. One practically meets covered by the Amazonian forest and its economy survives of the extration of natural products. The main extracted and commercialized products are the latex, açaí, diverse wood, gold, diamond and tin. Explorations in wide scale are carried through with iron and manganese. |

NORTHEAST REGION |

It is composed in the states of the Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe. In this region the essence of the country can be known better, through the population and its folklore. |

WESTCENTRAL REGION |
|
Located in the central portion of Brazil, it is composed in the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Goiás, beyond the Federal District, with the capital of the country: Brasilia. In the part west of the state of the Mato Grosso of the South and southwest of the state of the Mato Grosso one of the more important reserves of animal life of the world meets: the Pantanal. In the past the main source of income of the region was the exploration of gold and diamond.

SOUTHEAST REGION |
|
The Southeastern region concentrates the biggest population of Brazil, with more than 42% of the total of the country, as well as the highest index of demographic density and urbanization. Here there are the most important cities of the country, São Paulo, the financial capital; and Rio de Janeiro, known world-wide for its beaches. The economy of this region is developed and industrialized, and concentrates more of the half of the national production. In that it says respect to the tourism, the Southeast is the main door of entrance.

SOUTH REGION |

The south region, the minor of the country, represents 7% of the territory almost, is composed in the states of the Paraná, Santa Catarina and Great Rio of the South Is the only place of Brazil where the stations of the year estãobem definite. The region meets stuffed for florested mountains and fertile prairies. A great number of European, especially Italian immigrants and German, was installed here in the end of century XIX, exerting one strong influence on culture. |
